On November 15th, Steve McManus presented a CE seminar at the Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company regarding analyzing tenders of defense for claims of contractual indemnification against an insured and demands for coverage as an additional insured direct to the insurance company. Although the seminar is intended for intermediate to advanced levels of claims representative, it is provides a useful, “nuts and bolts” approach for all levels of claims representatives to identify and analyze the issues pertaining to tenders of defense. Approximately 25 individuals attended the seminar and it was approved for 3 credits by the insurance departments in the home licensing jurisdictions of North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Connecticut, Arizona and Oklahoma.
At McCormick & Priore, P.C., we have a large library of seminars that have been approved for CE credit by numerous home licensing jurisdictions, including those listed above. The seminars cover a wide range of first-party and third-party topics, including: bad faith litigation/claims; handling first-party lawsuits, the tripartite relation between the insured, insurer and counsel; tenders of defense; preparing a claims representative for a deposition in a bad faith action; the handling of a premises liability action; construction accident litigation; additional insured coverage issues, triggers and defenses; and, many other topics. If there is a topic that is of interest to you, please let us known and we are happy to arrange the presentation of a CE-approved seminar on topics of interest.
